Another flick starring Gippi Grewal and Binnu Dhillon introducing Jazzy B. It has been criticised for having slow pace and a very very bad screenplay and cheesy dialogues.
But it managed to earn profit over seas . In Punjab it suffered from political conflict as mamla gadbad was released by company said to be of top minister of the state. And they litteraly forces out the film out of single screens by political pressure. That's a common Assertion  but lacking any clear evidence . Still film hold its ground and producers now can get good sleep.

Its time for a review and  latest punjabi movie fer mamla gadbad gadbad is this weeks release, so let's review it.

This movie is made by the duo RIMPY PRINCE who are pioneers in music videos and who were making music videos since the day you were born. Their supermacy in music videos remains unchallenged but movie making is a different ball game altogether.

So lets come to review, unlike other reviewers ill list my rating at the very start I give it 5 from 10.   Now if you care to read further here is complete review.

The film starts with a song , which is not even upto mark of a good music video. The character introduction is just average  and lame like other punjabi movies , slow motion stylish enteries. We see that roshan prince is a con ,  a wanna be actor who wants to be a punjabi film star. His friend Ranjit Rana is a wanna be director. They only care about gathering money for their film, and they go to any length , even becoming fake witnesses in court cases. And main plot triggers when roshan mistakingly breaks marriage of japji khera due to an error. Now plot converts to revenge by japji khera against roshan prince.

What happens next is something  you can know by watching the film. YES film is watchable. So ill jump to analysis. The directors surely were working on a tight budget , which is visible in the scenes. There is absolutely no class to the appearences. Every location looks like a background of a cheap ass music video. The quality of film never looks like a film but a documentary video.

   The locations show absolutely zero art direction, the story and screenplay turn out to be average . Whenever you get bored a song comes to give a relief. Performances are good, japji khera looks gorgeous until and unless you realize she is married lolz.

     Overall paisa vasool but not exceptional .

Jatt and juliet 2 Blockbuster opening

It's not a surprise jatt and juliet 2 has opened to house full theatres . And it will be no surprise if it fetches an opening of 1 cr in India and 2 cr abroad. Will be posting box office news as they are available

REVIEW - Daddy Cool Munde Fool

Many readers have requested to review movies on my blog but rather than reviewing on first day I review when I find the time, so review may be useful to some but not all.

I had great expactations from this movie but it fails miserabely. The producers have got a hit and investment back in bank, but as an ententainer this movie is just like a carcass of carry on jatta or jatt and juliet.

The first half of movie is unbearable with most of the time spent in slow character introductions with idiotic background music. There is no character arc and no character development. Both lead actors are like robots eho fall in love with first sight, inredibly both brothers fall for both sisters and insaine as it may seem their father falls in for the girls mother !!!!!!!!

Dude you couldnt be more screwed to develop such a idiotic plot. Perhaps you need a brain to develop something more interesting.

The banning of a film usually does the opposite effect on film outcome. Sada Haq although banned by the government of punjab, has proved to be a record breaking blockbuster in UK ,USA,Europe and Australia. In Uk and Usa alone it has broken records of all time by collecting 1.5 crores in its first week. And will do so for next 2 weeks and might become beat performing punjabi movie of all time abroad.

Bikkar bai sentimental starts good

Bikkar Bai Sentimental is doing good in its initial days of release, but surely not a blockbuster still its surely going to its cost in first week, rest we will know from tomorrow after word of mouth publicity goes with it or goes against it.

Daddy Cool Munde Fool a Superhit in Making

After release of some of the worst punjabi movies in history and some really bad performing ones like sajjan , stupid 7, you n me etc comes a well made film with loads of fun and laughter Daddy Cool Munde Fool.
The movie earned 3.15 crores in its first weekend aka 3 days, world wide. Its running house full till today so its total gross will reach to 10-15 crore lifetime earning making it 2nd super hit after singh vs kaur .
Of course before some eager investors or income tax officials eager to raid producers , they got to know that producers stand out to get half of the amount only.
